Matthew and Aliza Williams

His dad, through great humility, continues to inspire him by delighting in serving God's people. Matthew looks forward to learning how the Lord sustained Moses during 40 years of public spiritual leadership.

He gives much credit to Aliza for ceaseless encouragements and prayers, which help empower him to be a pastor.

Josh is inspired by David Powlison's wisdom in applying the Bible to life, Winston Churchill's courage and wit, and Theodore Roosevelt's courage and zest for life. He is amazed by the writings in Ecclesiates, and hopes to learn more about the author one day.

Josh wants you to know, It's okay if you think I'm a bit eccentric and odd—my family does too.

Steve next to a deer he shot

Steve's favorite activities are fly fishing, growling, and hunting whitetail deer. In spite of his outdoorsy side, you might not expect that he would have his Dental License, and he spent six and a half years in dentistry, before he became a pastor.

Steve loves learning, and lists RC Spoul's "The Holiness of God" and C.S. Lewis' "The Weight of Glory" as must-reads. Hebrews is another favorite of Steve's and would love to discuss it with it's author one day.

Steve became a Christian at a revival when he was 12-years-old, but gives much credit to the loving response from his father, as Steve challenged his authority as a teenager.

Seek first the kingdom of God and all these things will be added to you.Matthew 6:33

Bruce Chick

BruceChick

  • Pastor ofSovereign Grace Community Church
  • Roanoke, VA

Bruce is strong. Not only does he enjoy weightlifting, he is a rock to his family. With his wife, Hien, he has had seven children, the youngest of which is 13-years-old.

Bruce has always looked up to his father, who dealt with integrity, seeking to make the right decision in everything he did. Similarly, he is so impressed with Moses, and his great leadership.

One of his favorite places to visit is Israel, and all of it's historical sites. He would even be interested in participating in a dig there. Although he hasn't had the chance, he would like to go skydiving one day.

If there's one thing that you remember about Bruce, he wants you to know that he loves Jesus more than anything.
